No. Most Musicraft students start with no experience, no instrument and no ability to read music. The assessment needs none of those either: it measures aptitude through listening and rhythm games, not existing skill.
No. Reading notation is taught as part of the course, not assumed before it. Many students play their first full song before they read fluently, and both skills develop together.
The free pre-assessment gives a ranked instrument recommendation based on pitch, rhythm and aptitude, alongside your own goals and listening preferences. It takes about fifteen minutes and needs no instrument to complete.
Most beginners play a recognisable song within three months of weekly lessons and short daily practice. Reaching an intermediate level, where you can read new music reasonably well and handle more demanding pieces, usually takes one to two years.
Fifteen to twenty minutes a day is enough to progress steadily. Consistency matters far more than session length: ten focused minutes daily beats two hours the night before a lesson.
No. Aptitude affects how quickly certain things come, but it does not decide whether someone can learn to play. Practice consistency and teaching quality account for far more of a student's progress than starting aptitude does.

Most students take one class a week, with short daily practice between classes. Individual sessions typically run thirty minutes and group sessions longer, with the exact schedule set at your branch.
Yes, for most instruments and levels. Online classes use the same curriculum, the same assessment and the same progress tracking as in-person ones. In-person suits very young children and instruments where physical setup matters most, such as drums.
Yes. The trial is free and includes the assessment, so you leave with an instrument recommendation and a four-week plan rather than a sales pitch.
Fees depend on the instrument, the format and the branch, so there is no single figure. The trial class is free, and the exact fee for your chosen course is given before you commit to anything.
Musicraft has two branches: Gottigere in south Bengaluru, and Ujire in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka. Every course is also taught online.

Students who want graded exams are prepared for them, and students who do not are not pushed toward them. Both are legitimate goals, and the plan is built around which one you want.
Yes. A student recital runs weekly and a public open mic monthly, and both are open to every student including complete beginners. Regular performance is one of the strongest predictors of whether a learner keeps going.
Yes, as the foundation allows. Improvisation and composition are introduced once a student has enough technical and theoretical grounding to make real choices, rather than being treated as an advanced-only subject.

Every student starts with an assessment that produces a personalised plan, rather than joining a fixed syllabus at a fixed point. Progress is tracked between classes, teaching is adapted to the learner's age band, and performance is built into the schedule rather than left to chance.
It is a free fifteen-minute assessment of pitch, rhythm and musical aptitude, taken through short listening and rhythm games with no instrument or experience needed. It returns a Musical Intelligence Score, a ranked instrument recommendation and a four-week starting plan.
The Musical Intelligence Score is Musicraft's measure of a learner's current musical aptitude across pitch, rhythm and listening. It is used to set a starting level and to track progress over time, not to decide whether someone is allowed to learn.
No. The teacher teaches; the technology handles what a teacher cannot do between lessons — tracking practice, giving immediate feedback on timing and pitch, and showing the student their next step. It removes admin and guesswork, not people.
Classes and the assessment are available in English, Hindi and Kannada.

The free assessment answers the biggest question most people have: where they would actually start. It takes about fifteen minutes and needs no instrument.
